Difference between alias and view

I wanted to know the difference between an alias and view in DB2 for Z/OS.

Hello,

A view is a way to look at data.

An alias is another name for some entity.

ya u r right dick...
View is just another definition of table in order to reduce the redundancy of data while improving data security...
but alais is just another name for a table or column...
