| What difference it makes when we say a file is deleted and it is uncatalogued. |

DELETED = DELETED i.e. the F1 DSCB is deleted from the VTOC and the catalog entry is also deleted
Uncatalogued - Only the catalog entry is deleted, and the dataset remains on DASD.
Please, do not uncatalogue DASD datasets. It only causes problems for the storage and support guys. |

| So what difference does Scratch/ NoScratch makes which is used while creating a GDG base. |
