Hi,
When I tried to open an empty VSAM file in I-O mode i got a error with file status 35.

So I moved a header record to that VSAM using REPRO and opened that file I-O mode.

Is there any other way to open an empty VSAM file in I-O mode without moving header to it?

Thanks,
Ashwin

You should have atleast one record (or Dummy Record) in the vsam file , otherwise it wont recognise it and will give error. So it is the precation which should be taken while dealing with the VSAM files.
