Hi,

1.Could anyone tell me the difference between the GDG generation and version.?
2.How to create different versions for a particular GDG generation?

Thanks in advance......

Generations and versions are independent numbers. With a LIMIT=5, then with G0001V00 thru G0005V00 existing, when you create G0006V00, G0001V00 is deleted.

If you want to replace G0003V00, then create a dataset ending G0003V01, and it will replace G0003V00. You will still have five gens, but the old G0003V00 will no longer be there; rather G0003V01 will be there.
