Hi,
I have created a PDS 3 montsh back....now that PDS was migrated...i'm trying to open that PDS by giving option HRECALL but I'm still not able to open that PDS.....it's giving "USER REQUEST FOR A MIGRATED DATA SET FAILED".......
Is there any way to open that PDS.....or can I copy that PDS members to other PDS members.................... |

For doing any operation (copy/view ....), first it needs to be recalled. Try recalling it again. If you still get the same error message, get in touch with your Storage Management people to resolve the problem. |

1) Try to browse the PDS, because you may not have HSM installed at your shop, so issuing a command for a product that you do not have will not work.
2) If you do have HSM installed, then the ML2 volume may be damaged, or the CDS is corrupt for that, and possibly more, entries.
You may have to issue a HDELETE pds name and the HRECOVER 'pds name' ................. and hope that a valid backup exists. |
