Hi,

Is it possible to create/set a Parm variable using COBOL program and pass it to the next step of the JCL. I want to create/set a PARM variable in one step and use it in the other step. This PARM variable is used to carry the index of my table to the another step.

Thanks,
Bala

Hello,

You can write the value into a file in the first step and read it as input for the second step.

Hi Dick,

Thanks for your kind reply. I already know this way, but I want to know, is there any other way than using a file.

Thanks,
Bala
