Hello,
I want to search a string in all GDG versions of a base. The output should return the GDG version which contains the match of the string. Is there any Utility which could help me out other than File-Aid (since we dont have File-Aid).
Thanks,
Amit. |

This is obviously a HOMEWORK question, which has been posted on this forum before.
There is a search facility on this board, try entering GDG SEARCH as the keywords, and then get the answer. |

Hello,
I have already tried the homework, none of the replies give me the desired result. |

If you can point me to the right direction, it would be great. I still seem to be lost. Thanks for your help in advance. |

I would write a quick REXX to list the GDG entries, and then pass them, within the same REXX, through the IBM search utility and if the RC=1 then list the GDG generation. |
