hi,
I want to compare 2 VB files (max rec length 4504) which have large volume of data. SUPERCE is not able to display the complete record with differences and I don't want to use File-aid.
Can anyone suggest me a way to do this. I basically want to easily identify the differences between existing records/newly inserted records/deleted records. The position where the difference is should be highlighted
thanks,

File-Aid is getting obsolete in our system, so I cannot use File-Aid and hence need to look for some other option. |

May I know why? It may be the case that you are only trying it in 'Online',
have you tried superce in 'batch'?
I don't know if there will be any problem in using a file of recln= 4504. |

EComp can easily process that.
Email me if you want more information. |

Try with "Long" option in the Listing Type instead of "delta" and do the comparison in Batch. And you can use CMPCOLM 5:60 75:90 to identify the position where the differences are happening...
