Hi,
I am getting an S878 abend, when auditing my package in changeman.
when i referred the abend code, it says
"S878 - GET MAIN error not enough virtual storage on region statement. Try a larger REGION parm on the JOB CARD"

The package contains 80 components

I tried increasing the REGION parameter in Jobcard upto 1000M and i am getting the same abend. I am not able to view or edit the Audit JCL.

Kindly let me know how I can fix this.

Thanks,
Hunt

hi Karthick,

I tried reducing the no of components and it worked... But i guess there should be some way to audit with these many no of components.

Can you tell me brief about participating package?

Thanks,

hi,
If you have too many components that has to be packaged together, one better way of doing it is to seperate the components logically (like copybooks in one participating package, online programs in one participating package etc etc) and have one participating package for each group.

Create one Complex package and have all these participating packages under it. Now, you need to just audit the complex package.

When you create a package, you will get the option to select the type of package you are creating.

Pls let me know if you need more info.
