Why is it that only in the "Mainframe COBOL" forum are posters allowed to post untested code, ask if it will work, and no one seems to bother to insist that the poster test their own code first.
It literally takes about 30 seconds to code a short program, compile it, and run it once. Is it really asking too much for that to be done first? |

Hi superk,
I agree with you that posters shouldn't be allowed to send untested codes atleast in Mainframe Cobol forum but i may be wrong in thinking that sometimes those posters working in their shop may not able to test this small codes using their client supplied uid. |

What about posters posting untried solutions ?
IMHO that's even worse when they tell you it is the solution, and a few of us oldies know pretty well that it is not the solution. |
