HI,
Now imagine we have 10 GDG generations getting used in 10 steps
And no of the total steps are 10 only. If I mention disp = pass at the last step, what is the outcome?

Thanks & Regards,
V.Kishore Kumar

Hi,

For your First Question

If A and B are defined as below. If A is moved into B . How will the o/p look like.

Both A and B will have Junk values. Reason when you move the comp-3 data to Alpha numeric it considers it as Junk values and when try to move back the value even the Comp 3 variables considers it as Junk. Use redefine to get the correct values.

3rd

What is the abend code that is obtained if we fetch without opening the cursor.

-501

For Expeditor quesions

ibmmainframes.com/viewtopic.php?t=5140&highlight=

And for

What is purpose of CCID in endevour.

CCID is used to track the changes done to the Program on each release or by each member (anming convention depends on the project).

And for

Can we retrieve pgm from prod with signout = y in endevour.

As per my knowledge we don't have the access, and not aware of the Production support people.

Hope this will help you

Cheers
Ashwin

Just now I checked, ONLY PACKED INTEGERs can be moved to alphanumeric. The code quoted in my last post should not compile..

Hi,

1.Can we retrieve pgm from prod with signout = y in endevour.

Ans: YES, we can retrieve pgm from prod with signout=y but if tht prod component is locked by no-one or locked by u'r id then you can retrive.

2. Now imagine we have 10 GDG generations getting used in 10 steps
And no of the total steps are 10 only. If I mention disp = pass at the last step, what is the outcome?

Ans: That generation will not be cataloged....we can't able to view that.
