a) See if this is possible
b) Find the required syntax to use if (a) = YES |

In my job a non zero return code is a successful return code.
But I want to show the return code as 0. |

Look here for the following statement:

By default, the FTP client ignores any errors that occur during a session and exits with a return code of zero. You can direct FTP to exit on error with a nonzero return code by specifying the EXIT or EXIT=nn parameter on the FTP command. There are several methods you can use to direct the FTP client to compute return codes.
