Hello,
Could anyone explain me about the SSID.
I think SSID is logical group in DB2. If it is correct why it is needed when we have different SQL-IDs.

I don't know what you mean by 'logical id', but SSID is the subsystem id name of the DB2 instance. SSID can also be the group name if more than one DB2 subsystems are part of a data sharing group. And SQL-id is more or less like a user-id for a user. Hope that clears the confusion. They can't replace each other! |

SSID
Description: SSID = Subsystem Identifier
A user-assigned number that identifies a DASD subsystem.
This number is set by the service representative at the
time of installation and is included in the vital product
data. |

Do you have any manucal which gives the basic information about SSID. |
