Could you give your definition of "VSAM"? |

I am developing a sample project which seems like a mini bank system. I want to use VASM KSDS as the storage of account information. Before this I an trying to get some overview about VSAM, about vsam 's benefit using in banking system. |

You decided that you want to use VSAM, something you know nothing about and now you want justification for your uninformed decision?
Never-the-less, VSAM will work just fine, KSDS, ESDS, RRDS etc. Something a little more recoverable like DB2 would be better, but for many years VSAM has been the backbone for many banks. |
