I may be posting this message in the wrong forum but since it involves job opportunities in mainframe I thought better to go for it. Moderator if you feel this is not the relevant forum please do guide my query to the correct forum.
I have 3 years exp in IDMS/ADSO and mainframes. I do not have exposer to DB2 at all, except for a 15 days training on FileAid for DB2 and QMF.
I am currently working on a project which involves Teradata as the database along with Mainframe (only batch processing) and partly Unix and perl.
My question is how are the job prospects in Teradata with Mainframes? Are there any companies working on Mainframes and also Teradata as database ? |

Hello,
If you are looking to include more database than IDMS and you want to stay on the mainframe, i'd recommend learning more about DB2 than Terradata. There are many more DB2 opportunities.
Also, i believe this is a good forum for your post |
