Unless you are a sysprog - please don't play with the system spool datasets.

The spool is usually unloaded once a day at a given time, either onto tape or DASD as is the whim of the sysprogs. This can be accessed easily once unloaded.

Hello,

Which spool messages are you referring to?

If you mean the jes output related to a job in the spool, you can do that from SDSF.

As mentioned earlier - don't play withe the spool datasets. . .

Sorry my mistake, by spool messages I meant the JES output related to a job in the spool as rightly pointed out. I need to copy the JES messages as a PDS member. Earlier when I was using SDSF, I used to execute the command XDC against the JES message to copy them to a PDS. Now that I am using JESMASTER, the same command XDC does not work. I don't know how to go about it.

Hello,

Look up an SDSF command called PRINT ODSN.

If i recall, you issue the PRINT ODSN specifying the dataset(member), select what you want and PRINT it, and when you have processed all that you want in the file/member enter PRINT CLOSE.

That isn't a very good explanation, but between that and the doc, hopefully, you will be able to do what you want.

We're here if you have questions icon_smile.gif
