An Attribute charecter is a single byte field which will be used to set/reset the properties of a field dynamically.

For example, we can make a field protect during a transaction execution by passing pre-defined value into this attribute charecter.

You please go thru some CICS reference books so that you will get the full list of combinations for attribute charecter.
