I have only used ICETOOL once and found that this utility is very much useful in file manipulation. My almost entire experience with mainframe has revolved only with SORT utility. Would like to request where can I find available references about ICETOOL. |

sadly no.. im not kidding.. ICETOOL was not that much appreciated in our work right now due to its more complicated parameters compared to SORT... anyway, with this reference, i might be able to convince them now... thanks for the help.. |

If you're not familiar with DFSORT and DFSORT's ICETOOL, I'd suggest reading through "z/OS DFSORT: Getting Started". It's an excellent tutorial, with lots of examples, that will show you how to use DFSORT, DFSORT's ICETOOL and DFSORT Symbols. You can access it online, along with all of the other DFSORT books, from:
