Use File Master/File Aid search option (in batch mode) with search string as 'DSN='. |

Prasanth,
Im very sorry about my previous post (which is a general search utility, needs a member for getting all the dataset names). Here is the code you wanted -
Code: |
//STEPNAME EXEC PGM=IKJEFT01
//SYSTSPRT DD SYSOUT=*
//SYSTSIN DD *
LISTDS 'HLQHLQ' LEVEL
/*
|
Above code lists out all the datasets whose HLQ is 'HLQHLQ'. Modify the step according to your need. |

I am confused,
Do you want all DSN names in 1 file OR
you want data from all the files in to one? |

Prasanth,
The step which I posted earlier accomplishes your task
or
List out A.*.B.*.C* datasets using 3.4 option. At the command prompt give the following command -
.
The above saves all the datasets list into ????????.LIST.DATASETS (where ???????? = YOURTSOID). This is the easiest way (I feel) to get all the dataset name into a flat file. |
