In what context ?
What program - and does it have any documentation
Is it in house software, operating system software such as utilities etc., or proprietry software that is producing this message.
This is a mainframe help forum and unfortunately we are not psychic so we will need just a smidge more information from you. |

Please see previous request for information.
I must apologise for my total lack of psychic abilities today, if they had been working I would know all of the answers to the questions asked in my previous response. Without such answers I CAN NOT be of any help whatsoever !!! |

Hello,
The 249 is your return code. It is not generic.
For any help at all you must do as previously requested. You should post the JCL for the problem step as well as any and all jes message output.
You should also look at the code for the program and see if there is a MOVE 249 TO RETURN-CODE. |
