I guess you can handle the same way as PS. We dont have specific difference in Cobol. Only in JCL we would give the GDG Versions.

I guess you could very well use the same way as you do for a normal PS file. GDG is no different to a normal PS atleast in this case.

Hi,

GDG's are Datasets which are related functionally and chronologically, and also there are PS in nature.

If you want to search for a srting use any of the Programing methods, or 3.14 will help you.

Logically there would not be any differance in accessing a GDG/PS.
You just have to treat both of them as files and the rest of the processing is the same as you do for a file
