Possibilty of data loss when the job abended with SB37

Is there any possibilty of data loss when the job abended with SB37 provided no file flag is checked?

An SB37 indicates you ran out of space on an output file. More than likely the output file is incomplete and is missing records that were supposed to be written to the output file, but couldn't because of insufficient space.

It is more than a possibility - it is almost a guarantee that some amount of data is lost. . .
