Dear All,

Lets say i have a GDG file as below
RAJ.ABC.DEF.CC100
RAJ.ABC.DEF.CC100.G1823V00
RAJ.ABC.DEF.CC100.G1824V00
RAJ.ABC.DEF.CC100.G1825V00
RAJ.ABC.DEF.CC100.G1826V00
RAJ.ABC.DEF.CC100.G1827V00

Always i have to delete the last previous version in my IDCAMS step without giving version number.

Like RAJ.ABC.DEF.CC100(-1).

Is it possible using IDCAMS, If yes, Please let me know the syntax.

Thanks and Regards,
M.Rajesh

Is there any specific reason for you to do this with the help of IDCAMS?
Or, it can be any other utility also?

You can do this with the help of executing IEFBR14 utility and including your GDG version(-1) file as a DD entry with the disposition of (OLD,DELETE,DELETE).

Dinesh.
