Hi,

What should be the record format for a file being given GSAM Access?
I mean what all formats are supported....Variable or Fixed Block or anything else...

Because its giving an error when the record format is selected as Variable

Hello,

If you have COBOL code that produces or reads the file you can get the info there.

It may also help if you post the jcl from the job that creates the file yo are trying to use. Please include the error info as well.
