If job Abended what will be the current version of the GDG

there is many steps in my jcl in this i m using GDG . plz help me abt coding a GDG version in steps

step 1 (i m using creating current version of GDG)
step 2 ( doing nothing)
step 3 (i m using previous version of GDG)
step 4 (i m using previous to previous version of GDG)
step 5 (i m using current version of GDG)
tel me abt what would be the version of GDG

if that job is abend in second step n i resubmitted the job again then what will be version of GDG now

Hello,

Please review your post, make some changes, and re-post based on:

The "current" version already exists - it cannot be created in step1.

The current version is (0). The next version is (+1). The previous version is (-1) - one back from that is (-2).

Also, in your re-post, please include the DD statement you think would work (don't need all of the jcl for each step (yet) for the particular file in each of the 5 steps.

We can help better with more info.
