I had come across MINCORE=REGION=8M parameter. What does this parameter do?

Also, it would be great if anyone provide the list of all possible parameters for DFSORT?

Regards,
Murali

There is no such parameter for DFSORT. However, Syncsort has a MINCORE=n installation parameter that is equivalent to DFSORT's MINLIM=n installation parameter.

You can find the list of all DFSORT installation parameters in "z/OS DFSORT Installation and Customization". Here's a link:

http://publibz.boulder.ibm.com/cgi-bin/bookmgr_OS390/BOOKS/ICE1CI00/2.2.6?DT=20031124122307

You can find the list of all DFSORT control statements and their parameters in "z/OS DFSORT Application Programming Guide". Here's a link:

http://publibz.boulder.ibm.com/cgi-bin/bookmgr_OS390/BOOKS/ICE1CA20/3.0?DT=20060615185603

You can find the list of all DFSORT EXEC PARM parameters in the same book. Here's a link:

http://publibz.boulder.ibm.com/cgi-bin/bookmgr_OS390/BOOKS/ICE1CA20/2.3.2?DT=20060615185603

If you're not familiar with DFSORT and DFSORT's ICETOOL, I'd suggest reading through "z/OS DFSORT: Getting Started". It's an excellent tutorial, with lots of examples, that will show you how to use DFSORT, DFSORT's ICETOOL and DFSORT Symbols. You can access it online, along with all of the other DFSORT books, from:
