Hi,

1. Why is coding RLSE in SPACE subparameter of a SORTWKxx file not appropriate? Or is it?

2. In SORTWKxx temp files, how many secondary extents are allowed? I understand that DFSORT won't use more than one volume for SORTWKxx files, but in the same volume, is there a limit to the number of extents it can have?

DFSORT's WRKREL parameter controls the release of work space.

DFSORT only uses the first volume of multivolume work data sets. However, you can have up to 255 work data sets. DFSORT can use the normal number of secondary extents for each work data set.
