How to use sort/ICETOOL to match 2 fields between same file

ie. FILE A layout as below:

ABCDE12C4

we need find all rcords with same value for offset 3 and offset 7.

can we do complete this function use SORT ?

Do you want to just include/omit records with a 'C' in byte 2 and/or a '2' in byte 7?

Please post more records for the "input" as well as the expected output record(s).

Finally, yes, you can do that with sort. Use an INCLUDE where the logical expression for the COND is 3,1,CH,EQ,8,1,CH.
