Restart and checkpoint logic in DB2

Hi all,

Can anybodyexplain me the restart and checkpoint logic in DB2.

Also, is it always required in a Cobol-Db2 program?

hi frnnd,
the resatart is the option of restarting the whole DB2 engine. and check point is for eg. if u are updating 50 records then v can keep the check point at 24th position and then v can start agina. thats the check point.
