I am not sure how would AMODE and RMODE would affect the size of my input sequential file to a COBOL program.
Can anybody explain this? |

I'm not sure it would, what makes you think it will?
Since you are reading a file, you will see each record one at a time. |

seems strange to me too, but this was a question asked by one of my colleagues and i could not relate how will that affect.
Thanks William..i think you are right. There is no connection betwen the two. |

Other than some "strange" attempt to imply records greater in length than 24 bits can hold, sounds like a "trick question"....
BUT, if you find another answer, Please post it, I am ALWAYS looking for answers....
