whether we 'can we initialize timestamp'
if so what will be the default value for that |

You can, it should always be in valid date/time format:
Example
9999-12-31-23.59.59.999
or
0001-01-01-00.00.00.000 |

Hi,
Cobol equalivalet of TimeStamp of DB2 is X(26). That means if you initialize it which is a COBOL keyword then SPACES will be moved to it. |
