Is there any way to make a data set or a PDS read only

Is there any way to make a data set or a PDS read only and vice versa.

The security on your mainframe is probably RACF, ACF2, or TOP SECRET. The only method of making your dataset or PDS READ only would be to have the security administrators in your office define the dataset or PDS to the security system and add to the access list the user or groups of users that can reference your dataset or PDS.
