linking problem in cics programs

Hi,

We are migrating to new cics version and not able to link some of our cics program where we get the unresolved reference 'dfhexec'.

Could anybody explain me why we are getting this error?

Hi !

Are you getting: MSGIEW2456E ???

DFHEXEC is used to bind C370 and C++ programms in an Open Edition cics environment. DFHEXEC should be in upper case instead of lower case.
The CICS translator adds reference to dfhexec to C/370 and C++
programs in lower case which later causes a return code 8 from
the binder.

There is a fix by PTF available from IBM.

I have found the same PTF on ibm site.
So i think it should be fine now.
