i know only the theoritical part of it and you should bear with me for my length explaination...
for an optimized and safer program to achieve concurrency and consistency of the data base according to my knowledge we liberally need to use Commit work and Rollback work statement accordingly, but while using cursors, if you use any of these statement, the cursor by default gets closed, and by any chance you need the cursor to continue with its activity, you can use the option of OPEN CURSOR WITH HOLD option with which the cursor will not close by default when it encounters commit or roll back statements |
