Hi guys,
in my cobol program, im populating data to the ksds. then based on the alternate key im doing some consolidation.. what is the problem na, before executing this program.. i have to create ksds with alternate index.
but alternate index is not possible for empty ksds... how to do this..
i hope u guys got my question
if any one come acrross this situation pls.. help me to solve this problem.

Why not define the Cluster, populate with low values, define AIX and then delete the low value record. |

Hi,
I did the same what u told... but... its showing unable to update AIX. so consolidation with the help of AIX is not working... some other alternate way... pls.

You are loading and then consolidating a keyed file in the same job?
Why can't you load the file, build the index and the consolidate it? |

im populating data in the ksds thru sql query in run time.. based on the data only im doing consolidation. i hope u got me

Well, you just may not be able to do what you want in the same execution.
Is there a reason you can't break the job into multiple steps? |
