Can we do a cartesian product between two files?
For ex:
File 1 contains records
1 2 3
1 2 3
1 2 3
File 2 contains records
1 2 3
1 2 3
1 2 3
My output file should contain all the 9 records i.e (3*3) times. The requirement is any number of records can be there in the input file not just (3*3). |

With z/OS DFSORT V1R5 PTF UK51706 or z/OS DFSORT V1R10 PTF UK51707 (Nov, 2009), DFSORT can now do Cartesian join with the JOINKEYS function. For complete details on JOINKEYS and the other new functions available with the Nov, 2009 DFSORT PTF, see:
