welll as per my knowledge we can access randomly and dynamically to records in RELATIVE and INDEX file through Relative record no and record key by defining the files as RRDS and KSDS....so it provides faster access .....suppose u want to search an item in thr range of 1000 to 3000
so u can directly go to 1000th record randomly and can access records sequentially onwards....this is dynamic access .....so this is not possible in sequential file.....correct me if i am wrong |
