//STEP1 EXEC PGM=IEFBR14
//DTAL DD DSN=TBH2.DECE001.DATA(0),DISP=(MOD,DELETE,DELETE),
// SPACE=(TRK,(10,25),RLSE),UNIT=DISK,
// DCB=(LRECL=145,RECFM=FB) |

If i am wrong , pls correct me , for deleting only the current generation of a GDG through batch job we should use IDCAMS and not IEFBR14.

Hi Siva,
As u might be knowing that IEFBR14 is a dummy utility so we just change the Disposition parameter to delete the current generation by keeping it MOD,DELETE,DELETE.
Hope it is clear now. |
