I am not very well versed in CA-7 so please bear with me.
We have a production job that runs using a Surrogate ID of PRDAUTH. This job performs DB2 binds of packages promoted by said job.
We also need some of these packages bound with a lesser authority, INQAUTH.
While I realize that a seperate job can be run with the INQAUTH Surrogate ID, this is inconvient due to the frequency and ways these promotes are performed.
What I would like to do is somehow issue CA-7 commands in the middle of the Job to Change the Surrogate that is controlling the Job.
Is this possible? If so what are the commands that are needed.
Thank you...... |

I understood that in the middle you want change the authorization. Correct?
Because Ca7 doesn't have, autherizaion changing facility. To my knowledge it is the JCL job card & the ID used.
So the change you reqd is when job is running or when the job is in request Q? |

To my knowledge changing authorization is not possible while job is running (active status) in CA7 |
