One of our clients, a world-renowned Bank in Singapore is seeking professionals, details of which is as follows:

Work Location: Singapore.

CICS System Programmer
Asia Pacific Processing Center - CICS Unit
Asia Pacific Technology Infrastructure

Major Job Responsibilities

* Plan, install, and maintain CICS and related systems software to ensure an efficient online data processing environment
* Interface with outside vendors to co-ordinate software problem resolution
* Participate in the selection, analysis, and modification of vendor supplied CICS and related systems software, and adapt new systems to the operating environment
* Perform online system performance monitoring and tuning; participate in capacity planning and systems configuration
* Provide technical support to both systems development and data center operations personnel
In conjunction with data processing operations and audit guidelines,develop procedures and standards for operations personnel
* Participate in managing systems and applications projects, coordinating team activities with systems development and data center operations personnel
* Assist in evaluating, recommending, acquiring, and installing new software or software upgrad! es
* Coordinate project plans and activities with user and technology management
* Keep current on hardware and software developments

Pre-requisites
* A degree or diploma in Computer Science or equivalent
* 5 years of relevant experience in IBM Mainframe environment
* Good knowledge of Mainframe software products such as CICS/TS 1.3,
Omegamon II for CICS, Symdump and/or Dumpmaster and CA Intertest for CICS/ESA, etc
* Knowledge of Assembler and/or SAS programming will be an advantage
* Willingness to work long hours and sometimes on weekend
* Strong analytical mind in identifying and resolving technical issues
* Strong inter-personal and communication skills is a pre-requisite
* Understanding of Japanese language will be an added advantage
