actually what is runtime superviser my friend says that it is a program and not a data set . But actually i think that every thing in mainframe is a data set
can any body answer what actually runtime superviser is is it a data set or not |

Kinda sounds like unix thinking.....grin.....
AFAIK, the supervisor is a program, but its executable code is a member of a PDS, i.e., a dataset. |

what is the name of the runtime supervisor,Can we access the runtime supervisor program |

william you told that runtime supervisor is a program where it resides if it resides in the secondary memory it needs a data set isn't it .Or it resides always in main memory
