how can we identify the base GDG??
Is it possible to save the dataset in view mode?? |

Is not the base just the name without the .G000V00?
"View" mode? What do you mean by view mode? |

we can edit and save the dataset in edit mode.. but we can only browse the dataset in browse mode.. and in view mode we can edit .. but is it possible to save the changes in view mode?? if so how?/ |

As far as I know, if you can edit and browse it you should be able to view the GDG dataset too. |

to save the data which you edited in VIEW mode...type the following cmd in command line
REPLACE .ZF .ZL
or to save the eedited data in a new dataset...type the following cmd in the command line
CREATE .ZF .ZL |
