I don't know anything about DB2, but FTP is a relatively straight-forward process, and obviously with 10 million records it would make sense to run it in a batch job. Is there a specific problem you're asking about? |

Hi Superk
The file (mainframe dataset) is in TAPE. i.e the reason I am asking about this specifically.
Please let me know the batch process of FTP also?
Thanks. |

Some sites will allow FTP from a tape and some will not. JUst copy the file to disk if you have to. |

FTP Tape is possible but will take more time since reading tape is time consuming than from dasd. |
