What is GDG? GDG with practice example.

I am new to Mainframe. I have one doubt about GDG, What is GDG
how to execute in practical.
Please Explain with possible example?

Hi !

As the word GDG (GenerationDataGroup) says, you define several generations of one Dataset.

For a complete discription of creating and handling, please have a look
at the manual and use the search-option in the forum.

I think it will be to complex to eyplain the whole complex of GDG's.
