Hi ,
how can i find what are the pgms , parms, procs & subpgms used by a job using endevor
it will be helpful if some one can throw more light on using search string & spider search engine in endevor
I have to remove obsolete components in endevor without affecting active components
Please help me asap .

If I am understanding your problem correctly, you should look into the jobcode to find it out rather than Endevor. Isn't it ? |

Hi,
The problem is there are 521 jobs to be made obsolete and the related procs run into Thousand plus . to check each proc and find the programs and related parms , includes , copybooks and sub modules it will take a lot of time .
We have a search engine called as SPIDER but the results are sometimes not comprehensive .
Can you throw more light on SPIDER if possible ??
Thanks and Regards,

Hi !
Why not using EndevorSearch in a BatchJob ?
Here's an example:
//IER1337T JOB (SP00,PROD,0000),UMEY,MSGLEVEL=1,TIME=(4,50),
// CLASS=E,REGION=0K,NOTIFY=IER1337,MSGCLASS=X
//*
//* ENDEVOR-SEARCH ?BER DIE SOURCE-LIBRARY
//*
//LIST EXEC PGM=NDVRC1,PARM='C1BM3000'
//*
//C1MSGS1 DD SYSOUT=*
//C1MSGS2 DD SYSOUT=*
//C1PRINT DD SYSOUT=*
//SYSOUT DD SYSOUT=*
//*
//BSTIPT01 DD *
SET OPTIONS SHOW TEXT PLUS 1 LINES.
LIST ELEMENTS '*'
FROM ENVIRONMENT 'PRODBVAE'
STAGE '0'
SYSTEM '*'
SUBSYSTEM 'SOURCE'
TYPE 'COBOL'
WHERE TEXT ('MDP01510')
OPTIONS SHOW TEXT
.
//
Searching all EndevorElements (here CobolPrograms) which will have
the string MDP01510 in teir code.
