Cant we override SYSREC statment. Is there any other way of achieving the same.
Please guide.

Hi,
The load job has abended bz of duplicate records in the input file. We have copied the prod file into test, removed the duplicate records and ran it again with test input file.
After this, wer run the PROD jcl by overriding the SYSREC with the test input file. But we didnt succeed. Anyhow we achieved the result by changing the symbolic paramerter values.
I would like to know the reason behind why are we not allowed to overried the SYSREC statment.
Regards,
