Maximum record length allowed in VSAM

Guys,

Can you please let me know the maximum record length allowed for VSAM.

Currently it is 3000+ bytes but the new requirement requires 6000+ bytes.

Please let me know whether it possible. If yes how much maximum record length is allowed.

maximum record length allowed in VSAM is 32767

If not correct then plz get back to me bcoz i read that in garry brown vsam book
