How to recover the data from a damaged tape volume

Is there a way to recover the data from a damaged tape volume using ISMF ?

Hi !

I dont't think so.

The Interactive Storage Management Facility (ISMF) is an ISPF application that helps to manage data sets, volume storage, and library interactively.
Through ISMF panels, you can construct a list of data for specific data
sets, volumes, and libraries, and perform space management or backup and recovery tasks on each list entry.

Here, recovery is used in contex with backup.

Perhaps you can have access to that tape using Ditto-Functions.
