why do we get VSAM error 97.or 90

For VSAM Status c ode of 97: OPEN statement execution successful: File integrity verified.
What usually has happens is that the previous program that had the VSAM file open abended and the file was improperly closed. We accept VSAM open file status of '00' or '97' as good.
Don't know what the reason might be for a VSAM Status code of 90.

vsam file status code 90:
bad open: file not was closed properly by previous user.
we can say unknown.
i thnk we can use IDCAMS VERIFY to take necessary action. |
