Accessing the mainframe through web screens:

We can design the system in 3S region itself.
? Web pages can be used to put our requests into the mainframe system. The file name to be browsed and the account number are entered in the necessary text boxes on the screen. Enter or ?Go? button is pressed.
? Whenever a new request is put in the page, a DB2 database table is updated in 3S with a new row containing the details of the request.
? A CA7 dependency can be designed so as to run a JCL every time the DB2 table is updated with a new row.
? This JCL should execute a COBOL program to search the particular file. And also the account details.
